Since we used the old laundry area to create a second bathroom, we used the space from the existing hall closet, and borrowed space from the adjoining bedroom closets to create this new laundry area.

The space is just the right size for a stacked washer and dryer unit, with room left over for other storage of items.

We added a floor safety drain pan just in case of a leak.
